The Coordination Office for Bavarian Research Networks handles central coordination and support tasks for bayklif2. It organizes and manages administrative processes, coordinates cooperation between the participating stakeholders, and acts as an interface to Bavarian ministries, companies, and other climate policy initiatives. Furthermore, the office is responsible for the network’s public relations and provides a central platform for information, communication, and networking.

Dr. Ulrike Kaltenhauser

Has overseen the management of the Bavarian research networks BayGene, BioSysNet, ForPlanta, bayklif, and bayresq.net for over two decades. With her expertise in coordination as well as quality and efficiency assurance for both scientific and commercial operations, she has been instrumental in the success of the networks under her leadership.

Dr. Julius Reich
Deputy Managing Director
Will take over the leadership from Dr. Ulrike Kaltenhauser as her successor starting in mid-2026. His expertise in project management, science marketing, and digital infrastructure paves the way for the successful continuation of the Coordination Office.

Senior Advisor
Brings decades of experience as a Principal Investigator at the Max von Pettenkofer Institute (LMU). His outstanding expertise in molecular virology and infectious disease research provides the Coordination Office with invaluable scientific mentorship.

Lukas Delleske
Graduate Assistant
Since completing his BSc in Biology, has supported the Coordination Office in a part-time capacity. He is primarily responsible for data management, public relations, and event management.
